Dom formed Brake Works due to the lack existing of easy to navigate and simple to use sites for racing / performance pads and braking components. I wanted to create a site which compiles all pad manufacturers with their performance oriented compounds into one place. We also wanted to match all pads to their applicable vehicles to further allow easy navigation for our customers.
I have a passion for cars and wanted to turn my hobby into a profession, enabling us to set up an awesome company run by car enthusiasts. Thanks to our web developer Jake who has done a lot of heavy lifting on the website, the dream is becoming a reality. It has been a long road to get the website live but we hope this shines through and we deliver a good experience for our customers.
We realise that the website isn’t perfect and that there may be navigation issues but we are striving to improve the site and invest in the groundwork of our business. We are more than happy to receive feedback and we will do our best to accommodate and address issues or suggestions.
Regarding development, we want to grow the company allowing us to independently review compounds, branch out to other braking components, mirror the site for bikes and sell big brake kits with the supporting components for all our big brake kit brethren out there.
We are working directly with suppliers in the UK so all orders are drop shipped; this gives us, a small start up a few advantages. But this also has disadvantages, as we don’t have immediate knowledge of stock levels. So please make us aware if a quick turnaround is needed and we will do our best to help.
